Medium hairstyle for 16 year old boy?

I have had short spiked hair pretty much all my life and im going to college soon and want to change my hair


i want a medium, maybe indie hairstyle


i have quite thick, light brown hair but i also have a cowlick at the front


my face is most like the square shape


can anyone give me any suggestions


any pictures would be much appreciated

If you are in the US, I suggest you go visit several college/university campuses and see the haircuts actually being worn, if that is your reason for changing your style. You will find that most guys just wear a regular haircut or an ivy league or crew cut and it varies somewhat during the year with shorter styles being popular in the hotter months.

You'll be hard pressed to find many guys wearing hair covering their ears and almost none with hair covering their eyes, or any guys wearing a medium indie style or an emo style etc

to be honest i actualy think boys with sort hair looks way better
