If your hair is curly, ask your stylist for angled layers. This will help tame the frizz. If it's straight, ask your stylist to use a razor after the main cut. The razor will take out some bulk so your hair lies flatter.





The main thing is to find a good hairdresser who you can trust and communicate very well with. He/she will know what's best for your hair. Cut out some styles that you like and bring it to your stylist. He/she will copy it to the best of their ability while still accomodating the style to your hair type.

What is a good short to medium hairstyle for an oblong face?

My face is quite long, about 21 cm. My cheek bones aren't wider than my jaw or forehead, but they are visible.


My jaw and forehead are the same length across(about 13 cm).





So, my face is long and thin. I also have very fair skin and thin reddish brown hair.





I would like something low maintenance because I am going on a trip to Japan and every day we are there we have to be ready by 7:00am for the tour bus. Any and all suggestions are very much appreciated. :]What is a good short to medium hairstyle for an oblong face?

Well it kind of depends on your face shape.


Just make sure you specify you don't want volume.


Because the lady that cut my hair a while back tried to give me ';volume'; and there's a few pieces that are MUCH shorter so near the back of my hair on the top it's short and it looks ridiculous. I keep my hair up most of the time because of it.
